A Summer Message from our Principal

To My Beloved Barack Obama School Family, 

As we bring another successful school year to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, involvement and trust in our school.  This year has been filled with learning, growth, laughter and shared accomplishments. Your children have worked hard and made tremendous progress and we are proud of each and every one of them.

Great things happen when the school and the home are in partnership! Please know that we sincerely appreciate all the many ways you’ve shown up and shown out for the Barack Obama Stars! Thank you for sharing your children with us!  They are the reasons why we do what we do. A special thank you goes to our incredible PTO!  You have shown deep dedication to the students and staff of this school and we are very grateful for all that you have done.

Summer is a time for rest, reflection and fun, but it’s also a great opportunity to continue learning in relaxed and meaningful ways. Whether your child is reading books at the library, exploring nature, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, we encourage you to keep curiosity and creativity alive throughout the summer months.

When school begins again in August, I know that our faculty and staff will be ready to make the 2025-2026 school year the best one ever.  Won’t you join us in recommitting ourselves to making our school the absolute best it can be?  Together, we are powerful and if we stick

together, our children will continue to soar!  Always remember that we are the STARS and we strive to SHINE everyday!  BOES is a great school, but I want us to be even better!  Can we do this?  Of course we can!  Rest up this summer, then let’s get ready to SHINE even brighter!
