New Principal at Barack Obama Elementary

BOES is excited to share that Dr. Jacqueline Drye has officially been named as Principal of our school. Assistant Principal since 2014, and serving as Acting Principal since January 2024, we are thrilled that she will continue serving Barack Obama Elementary School.

Dr. Drye has been the assistant principal at Obama for a decade, and we're so excited to see her assume the role of principal. A 30-year veteran educator, she holds degrees and certificates in early childhood education, school counseling, educational leadership, and gifted education. A published author, she's excited to build a literacy-rich environment where, as she says: "Students will be encouraged to read about different career options, write about their hopes and dreams for the future, and speak often about where they see themselves in the years to come."
